part I can't deal with because they always look good and they really have a good team but that has happened way too many times.

I know, this is way too much inside baseball. (And I just used a wrong sport metaphor on purpose)

Improbable but not impossible given a certain set of results to still be 2nd.

Italy would have to beat Costa Rica, and then Uruguay, preferably with a lot of goals and England would then have to beat Costa Rica by a big score...

I'm betting Italy will beat Costa Rica and will not be motivated enough to try to beat Uruguay, certainly not by lots of goals.

Poor Stevie G. First he costs Liverpool the league, and now his blunder likely costs England as well.

Luis Suarez, not match fit, apparently....

England lacked spark until it was too late.

Costa Rica beats Italy and sends home England without even playing them.
1-0

Into the knock outs for the first time in 24 years.
Good wins against Uruguay and Italy.

Freaking wow! Go CONCACAF

Picked by everyone to finish dead last in the group, they've thoroughly deserved their two wins. Should've had a penalty today too.

I wonder if that goal would've been given without the goal line technology.

A nice poke into the eye from Brian Ruiz who was deemed not good enough for the premiership.

Italy just needs a draw against Uruguay. They'll probably get it, unless of course they won't

What a debacle for England. Shades of France in 2010 except they didn't provide the drama.

Italy loses and England goes home.

Now Italy plays Suarez for the right to go on.
Suck part about the matchup is that Italy only has to draw to move on... so expect the suck bag boring play the Italy of old.
