US Tax evading/ welfare queens moving their operations to Ireland. Lovely
I have questions about something that has come up recently-

Medtronic's is moving to Ireland- and of course, everyone is yelling about "taxes," pointing that out as a reason they are making moves to other countries.
My question is this- is the tax "problem" more smoke and mirrors from the GOP? Looking at this particular company, I wonder if they will sell more of their products to a population who has better access to healthcare- a population that isn't terrified of "how much will this device cost?"
Would the employees in Ireland have easier retirements-
I am beginning to wonder if we aren't seeing some of the companies move to Europe because many of the countries do not have the same problems we do- workers saddled with horrific student loan debt, workers (and in this case, consumers) not having to declare bankruptcy over medical issues- Frankly, if I were a CEO, those issues would matter to me- and not having gun nuts around would just be the icing on the cake.
Thoughts?
