I really hope y'all see full 70th Anniversary of D-Day coverage
Here's what I've seen on ITV and BBC today:
All day coverage from Normandy on BBC with analysts and interviews with veterans and beautiful footage of the landing beaches and memorial areas.
A March of D-Day vets through the streets of the first town in France they liberated. Cheering crowds along the route thanking these men (many overcome by the welcome and thanks) 70 years later.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Andrew laying wreaths in memorial. President Obama and French President Allonde did the same.
Angela Merkel brought Putin and the Ukrainian president together in Normandy to have them talk about their conflict (apparently they agreed to work on reducing violence in Eastern Ukraine).
One veteran turned up missing from his nursing home in the UK only to be found today in Normandy. (His mates promised to see him back safe and sound)
So proud of those brave men from all those countries.
ps: Hi from Spain, DU!
