set the bar high for future exchanges/releases. So we are going to have to vet each and every one of them prior to their release from enemy hands or havoc sal be wreaked! So if some guy who is being held by some Liberation Army somewhere was accused of stealing a voleyball from gym class while in high school, then rot he will for the duration.
These Rethugs have sunk so low that they are persecuting American Prisoners of War. What is next?

(27,454 posts)Now that he's been released it's the worst thing that's ever happened, except for Bengahzi.
There are two different issues here and they need to be separated. He was held captive and getting him released was important. If he was a deserter or a traitor, then the military will investigate and deal with it.
It's interesting watching all the armchair patriots declaring he should have been left there. They don't get to decide. FFS, even Bristol idiot Palin weighed in on this and the armchair patriots cheered. Bristol Palin? Seriously? Conservatives sure pick some winners to cheer.

Can't we just say we leave no one behind, and leave it at that? Instead, our side seems to insist on making a hero out of him. (Susan Rice: "He served with honor and distinction."

Did we really need legal certainty to feel a certain way about Zimmerman (before, during and after the trial?)
How about that sicko who kept girls in his basement for 10 years...? Did we have to wait for a gavel to know what a fucko he was?
Of course we make a belief based on our biases and the information available. The trick is being honest enough to change it as new info comes up. There is information out there that this man was a bit of a loner and may likely have wandered off for reasons unknown. That could all prove bullshit. It could be proven certain.
More information is coming...
Failure is pushing an obviously false agenda because it suits what one believes...

A little early for you to make presumptions about how we think around here, isn't it?
