Republican Controlled State Governments Are Creating A National Authoritarian State

State by state. Law by law. We are seeing the emergence of a national fascist/authoritarian state:

1. Give the police the power to arrest and detain people if they cannot instantly prove their citizenship.

2. Enact unnecessary regulations that restrict a woman's right to choose and even invades a woman's body.

3. Allow the citizenry the right to use deadly force whenever they "feel threatened" which is an absurd standard.

4. Deny public employees the right to collectively organize and bargain with their employers.

5. Create arbitrary standards of proof to vote in elections.

Piece by piece, they are creating an authoritarian state that intrudes on the rights of the individual, and gives power to the racial majority to arrest the minority, to deny the minority the right to vote, and to literally kill racial and ethnic minorities.

The Obama administration HAS taken away your right to a trial before execution.

They've stated publicly that 'due process' now means 'we thought about it before we killed him'.

So there's plenty of blame to go around.

Perhaps if it were transparent you would have a point, but the entire process and "proof" used is kept secret as part of this newly formed presidential power.

No one but them would know "If they did that".

No President would EVER detain or assassinate someone who didn't DESERVE it!

which is funded by (surprise, surprise) the Koch brothers and their affiliates, among whom are the neo-cons. The religulously insane and the baggers are the chump footsoldiers for the 1%. Sinclair Lewis was correct - when fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.

Also, ALEC gun legislation is very popular here, I tried to talk about it but:

I am too tired to find out what other Alec legislative templates are embraced here (or denied existence),
I am also tired of having posts locked to please conservatives posting here.

Can you imagine the furor if Democratic legislators from all of the country got a free ticket to a union organized legislative agenda building workshop, and returned home pushing those exact laws presented by the unions in multiple states at the same time?

We can't compete with them as it stands now.

the GOP's concern about "big government" has been the Great Hypocrisy for the last 40 years.

The GOP loves "Big Government"--they love controlling vaginas and bladders; the love eavesdropping on emails and phone calls; they love bailing out their 1% constituency while thumbing their noses at the 99%; they love suppressing freedom-of-speech with fascist police tactics...

The GOPers are the party of "Big Authoritarianism."

wouldn't you think it should be "gives power to the racial minority to arrest the majority "?
I know that is not the case yet, technically speaking, but I'd say it's on of the main reasons
why they're creating the authoritarian state in the first place. Just a thought ...
