And that's where we are now. We, the Americans, the 'good guys' (although a history course will teach you we are anything but,) have decided that we are dots on the ground, and if we stop moving forever, it wouldn't mean a thing.

1. Brilliant flick

Brilliant acting but after watching it you'll never again want to hear zither music again.

It was a radical departure, as was the story.

One of the best... in spite of the zither music which is a very guilty sin.

3. Don't forget the other part of Harry's little equation

One of those dots stops moving, yes, but don't forget the money to be had from the crooked dealings that stopped the dot. Never forget the money to be made. Lots and lots of it.

For those unfamiliar with this brillian movie, Harry Lime is working in the black market in post-war Vienna. He's hustling medical supplies and making a fortune. Some of the medicine is bad, and people are dying. Strangely enough, to Harry's way of thinking, some of the survivors of those killed by the poison he's hawking are a tad bit upset with him.

6. Yes that movie is American Film Noir at its best

7. As I said, brilliant movie

One of the things I like best about it is that it doesn't hit you over the head with stuff; you gotta pay attention to who's who and what they're saying. It's easy enough to just let the film roll over you, and follow along that way, but when you pick up on the little things people say (thinking here of the ancillary characters like Dr. Winkel and Popescu), you can piece together some of the mystery before the film reveals it.
