(46,436 posts)On the Alaska Airlines plane from Oakland to Seattle Tuesday morning, the attendant closed her little instruction speech at the beginning with "Go Niners." When we got off to change planes in Seattle, it was "Go Hawks." Not playing favorites.

(27,670 posts)I will be seeing you very soon after the game for this dire insult if the Seahawks win, WillyT, with a several course meal completely consisting of my special Roadkilled Northern California Coastal Crow dishes.
I hear they are predicting a 10.0 Beastquake in Seattle tomorrow; hopefully you will be feeling the aftershocks down there in the Bay Area for years to come.

(33,224 posts)Lets start with lodging. You bought playoff tickets on a whim from a third-party reseller, dropping more than a thousand dollars of hard-earned cash that could have paid to send your kid to college bail your kid out of jail, and now youve only begun to piece the rest of your mini-vacation together. Not to worry, friend, weve done the legwork for you. When you visit Seattle, here are three of the best local inns for you to call your temporary home.
1. The Emerald Queen Hotel & Casino
With three stars to its name, the Emerald Queen Hotel & Casino is arguably considered the nicest hotel in all of Fife. If you have a gambling habit, youll find the sprawling complex especially to your liking but dont spend all that money in one place! An abundance of nearby automobile dealerships may just catch your eye before you leave town.
2. Extended Stay America
Nestled between luxurious Interstate-5 and a highway that prostitutes frequent, youll find the Extended Stay America, owner of an impressive (for Fife) 3.3 Google Review rating. Feel free to call the Extended Stay home for a night, a weekend, or forever thats why they call it Extended Stay! Just dont venture too far from your room after dark. Unless youre into hookers. In which case, go wherever the wind takes you. And Godspeed.

(16,201 posts)I actually watched the movie well before I ever saw the spoof scenes. Damn good movie.

(72,631 posts)I love the parodies, but would love to see the original movie.
Can you help me out here?
Thanks.

(16,201 posts)It's based on the memoirs of Hitlers young secretary, Traudl Junge. She was there right up to the end.

(8,554 posts)for expressing just the tiniest bit of cheer when those Saints finally scored a touchdown one week ago, I've now been admonished that I either join in the maniacal glee that seems to have swept this state or I should go back East to Ohio and suffer the consequences of rooting for the wrong team during a football game.
My daughter, who lives in San Francisco, had her poor car (exhibiting obvious Seahawks bent) seriously vandalized this week; her dog was attacked by a nearby drunken Niner's fan...thank the stars she is a Chow and handled the incident with instinctive protective behavior.
Howling with laughter while watching your little video, I attracted the attention of my SO, who eventually understood what it was in reference to. On the second viewing, he thankfully found the humor in it, but now wants to know who the hell made it, are they calling us Nazis, and says that there will be nuclear shockwaves tomorrow, to put an end to this little war-game.
Did I mention that I really hate football?

(8,554 posts)is why I do not care for the game of football. I don't give a hoot how much any of them are paid, nobody should be banging into one another that way, just to make a living.
It makes me ache to watch a football game, every hit.

(6,913 posts)#12thMan - could we get some 'get well likes' for 9-year-old Logan? His mom tells us, "Logan may be in the ICU at Swedish & can't actually wear his Seahawks jersey due to the I.V & wires but he's still rooting for his Seahawks! He's even asked for a new nurse because she's wearing 49ers gear!" with Logan Logan.
