Someone somewhere pointed out that the Pope's approval is much higher than President Obama's

However, the Pope's job is to talk and inspire. President Obama's approval hinges on results. President Obama has to deal with many foreign policy issues, and more importantly he is expected to fix the economy. The Pope will never be held responsible for foreign-policy results. Pope Francis does not have to figure out the best way to insure people. He can propose ideas, but he does not have to fight opponents to implement them.

So do me a favor and don't compare the job of a Pope to that of a President. Thanks.

The discussion was about the message, not the job. Democrats need to return to a populist message. onehandle Dec 2013 #1

And the message he gets is always skewed.

Partly his fault, partly not. He should have been aware of the bubble effect and the Oval Office echo chamber. So far, no sign he is searching outside of it for data or input.
