"He's just an entertainer...what's the big deal?"

Every time this drug-crazed pervert goes over the line with his misogynistic, racial-slurring, bull crap, we hear Republicans come forward with the excuse that it's no big deal, he's just an entertainer.

The expiration date has run out on those excuses for this ass wipe. There are no more defenses for his sick political charade. We can look for the Republicans to run to his defense tomorrow.

This simple "entertainer" is paid over $250 million dollars to "entertain" his simple-minded listeners. Let's be honest. He is nothing more than a paid propagandist for the Republican Party. And they think he is worth every penny of it.

He came out yesterday and today on his radio show and called an American citizen, by name, a "slut" and a "prostitute" for wanting her insurance to pay for her birth control pills. He said if the taxpayers are going to have to pay for her birth control, then she should have to post her sex acts over the Internet so he and everyone could see what they were getting for their money. I suppose he may not be on the air tomorrow? He will be talking to his lawyer.

Not only did he slander this young college student, he slandered about 98% of the American women who have used birth control. They are all "sluts", in Rush's opinion.

1. The lies are confusing people

Politics in the United Satates should be based on position with respect to the issues at hand.

After WWII they prosecuted Tokyo Rose (I think)
Isn't it worse to have propaganda confusing the
voting public?

The twisting of words, the cutting of tapes that leave out pertinent facts and the misrepresentation of a person's message is juvenile, untruthful and the people responsible should be kicked off the air and in some cases, prosecuted.

We are here to try to run this country so that all Americans may live a better life. We are NOT here to win a highschool debate.

2. Limbaugh has had a captive audience for two decades.

In many rural parts of the country, the only radio stations that can be picked up are are the AM dial. Limbaugh and other right-wing hate-mongers have had a monopoly on these stations since the 80s. It's really changed the political discourse in many rural states.

The sad thing is that the FCC gets to dole out licenses to broadcasters, and it has been quite expensive and difficult to get a broadcast license. Low-Power FM licenses get sucked up by right-wing religious organizations as soon as the FCC announces that they'll be taking applications for new licenses. One never knows when they'll be opening that licensing window to apply for one of these licenses. Thankfully, broadband has been getting to more and more rural places, and people are being exposed to non-Limbaugh-esque ideas via the Internet. Finally.

Propaganda is a powerful tool.

Rush Limbaugh teaches Americans to hate other Americans.

Limbaugh does far more damage to America than Bin Laden ever did.

5. If he is "just an entertainer," then why do all the Republicans line up to bow
Thu Mar 1, 2012, 09:03 PM

before him, kis his a**--I mean his ring--and obey his every order?

If one of them ever dares to in any way suggest that he is not the boss of them, then that person ends up humbly apologizing and walking back the comment.

He certainly isn't "just an entertainer" to them. He is no less than their Dear Leader!

Ask Jared Lee Loughner if Rush is just a mere entertainer or not. Or of any of the other hundreds of idiots who have carried out their dirty deeds if they are just mere entertainers.
