No such luck. This is Shellie Zimmerman, his wife.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/29/shellie-zimmerman-george-zimmerman_n_3836178.html
Her husband, who was acquitted on second-degree murder charges in July, wasn't in the Sanford courtroom Wednesday as she was sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service even though she supported him and even lied about their finances....
In the interview, she also revealed that she wasn't at their home the night of the teen's controversial shooting because she'd had a fight with her husband.
"I was staying at my father's house," she said. "We had gotten into an argument the night before and I left."
O rly? You don't suppose he might've been, y'know, enraged or anything after that? And yet we only find this out now, not in, say, a trial or something when it might have mattered.
So his wife gets an actual sentence, even if it is a slap on the wrist, for doing something other than killing a teenager in cold blood, while he goes around touring gun factories?!
edit: Wait, what? A misdemeanor perjury charge? Then again, CA has a misdemeanor DUI charge.

Other than that, this is probably a pretty standard sentence for lying under oath...it happens...regularly..most judges have a standard sentence for this..

We'll see.
