I responded with Libertards: And stated that Obama had the same access to the weather as Bush did..
It was hidden by the jury..
Question? Do Jurors look at the history of a Poster before they decide to take action?
I hate the words with Tards" in them. Sounds like4th grade ( I forgot how it is attached to an illness
which is disgusting) One jury member brought this up..
One out of the 6 figured out that it was a spoof on the repubs. in Louisiana..
To be truthful, the trolling which does on around here in my opinion is subtle and mostly with a Libertarian slant, especially with the illegal spying issues.
I thought mine was so freaking obvious.. And next time I will no better.
I am not whining by the way.. Im just trying to figure out, whats up?

(46,436 posts)and mine was the comment about the "tards." I had a hunch you were being somewhat sarcastic, which I think I also included in my comment, but I could see how your intent could be misread -- as it obviously was by someone, or your post wouldn't have been alerted on. If it means anything to you, I personally didn't think you were posting with malicious motives.
Oh, and as to whether I looked at your posting history, no, I didn't, and I don't believe we've been formally introduced, so, hello, I'm Blue_in_AK.

Im old and new to computers, but I use to love getting into it with Libertarians over at Raw Story during the build up to the last republican primaries...
Just loved their defense of Ron Pauls racism and womans reproductive rights...
Dont get that on this site..at all..

(11,489 posts)I don't know when DU suddenly decided to stop banning 'tard' since when Rahm Emmanuel called liberals 'fucking retarded' and Limbaugh called us 'retards' those posts weren't banned. Maybe it's only offensive when applied to libertarians and conservatives.

Some times it's all in the luck of the draw.

(10,942 posts)I have also served on juries where my first impression was why in the hell did this get alerted? The luck of the draw is an apt description, if a jury gets pulled that don't like a particular poster, that poster is going to get drilled, regardless of how correct the post was. Sad, but true. I have also seen some posters brag about being alerted on and surviving the jury vote.

(488 posts)And neither time did I look at a poster's previous history. What I did do, was look at the post in the context of the thread it was in. Neither time was you, by the way. Both times I, and the majority of the jury, allowed the posts to stand, based on context as well as content.
I've had one post hidden 5-1 by a jury, and based on their comments, I'm pretty sure they didn't look at my previous history either when making a decision. I don't feel they should have either, even though my post was clearly misinterpreted by at least some, if not all, members of the jury. Rereading my post, I can see how a different interpretation than the one I intended was possible.
Ironically, today someone made an OP dealing with the exact topic my comment was hidden for. However, the context is much clearer in this OP than mine evidently was.

(12,448 posts)here that alert on anything they disagree with and everything some posters write, and about 20% of the time a post will be hidden no matter how innocuous, obvious, or true.
Jury lottery pays off pretty well.

(8,515 posts)how horrible that tag is... What is your childs name and how old if I may ask? More importantly how is the family doing?

(502 posts)You really don't know how much it means to me. My son is 16, his name is Freedom. Our family is doing great, we are non-traditional in a lot of ways so I don't think we undergo the pressure a lot of other autistic families deal with. My husband and I just celebrated out 21st handfasting anniversary. Thanks for asking.
