"Conservatives" decide to start their own version of Media Matters...

David "The commies have infested our colleges" Horowitz and Ben "Friends Of Hamas" Shapiro are going to start their own version of Media Matters, the conservative media watchdog group.

Anyone want to bet they last less than a month?

Ben Shapiro and David Horowitz are teaming up to launch a right-wing version of Media Matters that will "unmask leftists in the media for who they are, destroy their credibility with the American public, and devastate their funding bases." We are sure it will be a smashing success.

respect for truth.

Do they think that liberalism is as plastic as they've made conservatism? Is it just another perspective, one you can weigh against any other and it's okay to pick the one you like the best? They haven't figured it out yet that liberalism is what it is because it respects the truth over *any* ideological position. And they won't figure it out until they stop letting their self-interest and prejudices dictate their reasoning.

Good luck with their Anti-Media Matters endeavor. They're going to have to be making a lot of shit up just to fill the time. But that is their innate talent it seems.

They're going for the equivalent of the old "liberals get their marching orders straight from the Kremlin" crowd, who were always happy to be bilked in return for having someone tell them their delusions were right.

sounds like their purpose is basically to muddy the waters as Media Matters exposes actual falsehoods, in an attempt to thwart MM's credibility. Do I have this correct?

Maybe they can give Mallard Fillmore a run for his feathers.

As I see it, they won't have to really prove anything with facts or truth. Just the thought of this group being out there will force a lot media folks to the right in their reporting because of the corporate hold on their jobs and salaries. We will soon be able to know for sure who is and who is not a true journalists.

The cable stations owned by seven corporations or the radio stations owned by three corporations, NONE of whom have any interest in objectivity, fairness or anything else that doesn't tow the corporate line as far as news reporting is concerned?

What does it say about modern Republicans that they don't think their news is right wing ENOUGH???

Brace yourself for a lot of reTHUG wild imagination e.g. LIES.

Bet, it gets quoted more than MM though, since their backers, the monied elite, have a vested interest in distorting reality.

They think MM randomly shames Repubs with whatever unfair junk they can find. Like they would. They don't understand about facts and confirming them with other facts, like MM does.

Besides, it's been tried before, and there just isn't enough material to talk about with liberals. We're mostly good little boys and girls who mind our p's and q's. That's why they're stuck running one story (bengazibengazibengazi) for months, or taking a tiny ambiguous fact and blowing it up into a scandal through doubt and lies. We just don't say crap ALL THE TIME like they do.
