Is Robert P. Koch related to the infamous Koch Brothers?

I was just doing some research and noted that Bush's sister, Dorothy, is married to someone named Robert P. Koch. Does anyone know whether he is related to the Koch brothers?

I did some quick research and couldn't find the answer.

Robert P. is CEO of The Wine Institute and a Democrat.

In 1992, German American Koch married Dorothy Bush, the only living daughter of George H. W. Bush, at a private ceremony held at Camp David—the only couple to ever be married there in the nation's history. They have two children plus the two children from her first marriage.
Koch is a Democrat who started his career in politics working for Tony Coelho and was part of his campaign to become House Majority Whip. He would later become staff director for House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt before joining the Wine Institute.[1] Since becoming President and CEO in June 2003, membership has grown 70% to over 1,000 Californian wineries and affiliated businesses which are predominately family owned and operated.

I believe Robert P. (Bobby) Koch is the grandson of Robert H. H. Koch of Hanover Germany. He was an epidemiology researcher that won the Nobel Prize in 1903 of his work in Tuberculosis identification and prevention.

Bobby is on the other side of the spectrum from the Koch Brothers.

This is on definitive knowledge that "Bobby" Koch is not a scion of "The Koch Brothers." He is however NO DEMOCRAT! Bobby is the third son of George William Koch, the former Pres/CEO of the Grocery Manufactures of America (the food industry's lobby shop). Just about all of Bobby's direct family members are registered REPUBLICANS! The only reason that Bobby was thought to be a democrat was that he was placed with Tony Coehlo as his first job after barely graduating from the University of Maryland. Bobby's older brother Patrick "PC" C. Koch, Washington Attorney & Lobbyist (PC Koch and Associates), advised him to register as an Independent to increase his potential to be hired by any Congressman in the future-should need be. The big joke was that his father would have to purchase the Uni-Park company (a valet service[car parkers] which serviced the Bethesda/Potomac suburb of WDC) to insure Bobby's ability to be employ in his adult life as he suffers from an exceeding low I.Q.(tested at 89)! Also, Bobby's grand father was the late Errol Koch and his grandmother was Lucy Lewis Koch. Errol was the owner/operator of a repair garage in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bobby's father (who at the time was an attorney in the Hamilton County Solicitor's Office headed by Charlie Keating, think The Coehlo 5 Affair, moved the
family from Columbus, Ohio to WDC as a Protege of Jake Davis. I could go on with more information, but you now possess a short history of Bobby Koch!

People seem to be taking some interest in this today due to Jeb Bush's expected announcement.
Your post here, is the most interesting. Some have posted that "Bobby" Koch is a long time Democrat. That he registered as Independent in order to work in any Congressional office he might be invited to is smart. It seems to be a logical opening move for a lobbying career.
But how do we put to rest the notion that he's a Democrat? Are there other public records connecting the father and brother that you reference? Yours is an excellent story but. Ya know?
Thanks I am not a working journalist. Was a paper 'boy' for 20 years. Do comment online here and there. This is in relation to NPR story, 6-15, "He was born Republican Royalty, but 'Jebcito' is from Miami." Have a great day. -Chris

When George W. Bush was elected to the White House, the Wall Street Journal reported that the only democrat who was welcome to the White House was Robert Koch.

Should we request WSJ to check the news?
