NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) International flights began landing and taking off from Nairobi's fire-damaged airport Thursday, and officials said they expected to return to full operations by day's end.
Kenyan officials, assisted by members of the FBI, began investigating the cause of the fire.

(2,097 posts)Less-developed countries routinely ask the U.S. LegAtt (as the FBI rep at an embassy is called) for assistance in bigger and more complex cases; it's a typical aspect of our overall bilateral relationship. Plus, given the embassy bombing in 1998, I would imagine Embassy Nairobi has an especially robust FBI contingent.
