christofascism has nothing to do with Christianity.....have a look at the rise of the Third Reich. "I hate these obscene disgusting, vile white men
in this repuke debate with the white hot heat of a thousands suns."

IMO it is obscene for that group of white men, and that's what was standing up on that stage , all white men, to feel they have that right. I'm not going where you seem to want to go, I never stated "Only white men have oppressed women" If they had been black grown yellow or green I would have said the same thing about any one who wants to do that. Had they been a group of women I would have said the same thing. As it stands they are a nasty group of white, entitled republican men and they are disgusting.

Making derogatory comments about white people IS NOT the equivalent of making derogatory comments about black people. White people were not kept as slaves and then legally relegated to second class citizenship after they were freed. Still it's better not to make derogatory comments about anybody, IMO.

and as many people died (on both sides, for and against) in a war to end it, as own slaves

if it took too long, it's because the rich people who wanted slavery had more power than the middle class whites who were against it (I know, hard to imagine a USA where power = money)

but, because there WERE so many whites who opposed it, it DID end, at a considerable cost of blood of people who never supported slavery

And she said the same thing. That she couldn't believe what a huge group of losers they are. She said it was the worst group the GOP has ever had to pick from. They have engaged in a race to the bottom faster than even she could imagine.

As a woman in this country I feel more violated and at risk on a societal level
than I have in my entire life. The image in my mind of the oppressor is an
older, white, male in a business suit with an agenda I am still trying to fully
understand. That image can be substituted by an entire host of individuals with
varying skin color, religious affiliations and unfortunately, members of my own sex.

The rant is based on very real threats to all women and I fully appreciate where the
OP is coming from.

where they want to take you young women back to is a scary place. You have got to watch these bastards like a hawk and fight them with everything you have. Make no mistake, they are deadly.

women is to have them trapped by circumstances or by mistakes. They want to remove choice and safety. If their women need an abortion they will take them to where they can get a safe one, for others it's knitting needles and catheter tubes and the risk of infection, sterility or death. It is outrageous.

I can't believe how much flack you got for stating the obvious. and i wrote in another post, white, male political hegemony has been the reality in this country since its inception, and it's not at all racist to point that out. and it is STILL true today. most of the people who hold elected offices in this country are still white men. and yes...their privilege as white and male does affect the way they think. clearly, the white men you were talking about think their privilege allows them to make healthcare choices for women. it is beyond outrageous, and it's long past time that we call this spade at spade. white men on the right are my enemy, they are enemies to all americans. and so are rw women, rw black people, and rw latinos and rw asians. however, it's rw white men who have to power to force my niece to be probed before getting an abortion. screw everyone who thinks phoney "political correctness: is more important than that harsh truth.
