(24,780 posts)And I wonder why there is so much talk about this issue and virtually nothing since Wednesday about the SCOTUS gutting the Voting Rights Act.
Gay marriage is a hollow victory if its only a matter of time until the right wing gerrymanders enough to pass a constitutional DOMA amendment. And with the same RW in power because of a gutted VRA, there is no chance of changing anything regarding domestic spying.
I don't understand why people here do not see the bigger picture that without the VRA we are truly screwed.
