The real story is someone contacted the Leagues and told them that if they help Promote The GOP/Heritage Foundation/ObamaCare HC Plan they will remove their anti trust exemption.

But we will not see that in the news.

Removing the Anti-Trust exemption IS the ONLY REAL Leverage Congress has over the Pro Leagues.

The feeling was, i think, is that having many insurers doing business in many states would encourage competition naturall. But they are just all in collusion, as we can see from the ridiculous prices paid for health services and drugs.
I feel there is too much money to be made privately for single payer to happen. Hope I am wrong, of course.
