LORAIN, Ohio - A Lorain County boy with a rare type of childhood cancer wants to celebrate his fourth birthday with one million cards.
Gabe Rooker was diagnosed with stage-four neuroblastoma, a kind of cancer that develops in and around the adrenal glands, in July 2012. The 3-year-old is halfway through his treatments.
“Unfortunately, Gabe still won’t be able to be around crowds for his birthday on June 30th, but you can still help make it a special day for him,” the posted on his Facebook page, Prayers for Gabe Rooker , said.
The Facebook post said Gabe loves mail and you can send birthday wishes anytime to spread out the fun.
Birthday cards for Gabe can be mailed to Gabe Rooker, PO Box 403, Amherst, Ohio 55001.
