Just what are The Russians up to. Waterboarding would be my guess.

The Russians want nothing to do with this guy.

(8,462 posts)Why would the Russians waterboard him?
as we've been told by the BOG creatures
1. Nothing Snowdon said was new news, everything was known.
2. He was only a tech guy. He had no access to anything important so he's gotta be lying.
3. Everyone knows he's a loser Ron Paul supporting high-school dropout, even the Russians.

(40,416 posts)Word is that he's in the transit zone in a Moscow airport undoubtedly surrounded by Wikileaks lawyers and supporters who will undoubtedly take very good care of him.
Putin, and the Russians have adopted the same attitude towards him as the Chinese. "We will not interfere but we want him to go; the sooner, the better."
NOPE!!! He is not being interrogated by the Russian secret service (whatever they're called these days, certainly not the KGB). That would be immediately reported via his handlers via Wikileaks.
If Snowden disappears or is picked up, that also will be reported. I am sure that they've put some periodic protocol in place like that, too. I would, and I am not a spy. Just common sense in a high stakes game like this.
I thought Snowden was very naive at the start of this business. Now, I think he has some very smart people keeping him close, protecting him.
I don't believe any of the speculations because if he were swept up, Wikileaks would know and they would be screeching it at the top of their lungs.

(6,262 posts)Don't think he did enough research on the KGB.
About now, scheming and screaming to eventually get to Iceland via Assange lawyers assistance, where he no doubt wishes to stay forever given the alternatives.
