SOUTH BOSTON —Vice President Joe Biden, in Massachusetts to campaign for Democratic Senate candidate Edward Markey, made an unscheduled stop Saturday at an iconic South Boston hot dog stand.

Biden, who had appeared with Markey at the nearby Ironworkers Local 7 hall, was driven the short distance to Sullivan's on Castle Island.

Are there any hot dogs here?" Biden asked with a big grin as he began to work the crowd. With him as he posed for photos and shook hands were Markey, Rep. Stephen F. Lynch and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino.

"That’s the vice president right there," Mike Caulfield told his very young daughter, who he was holding in his arm. Biden posed for a photograph with Caulfield and his daughter, Caitlin.

As a reminder of the political issues in question here, Darrell Issa stole my fucking hot dog. Recursion does not forgive or forget the theft of a hot dog.
