Senator Bill Nelson has said what Snowden did was "treasonous." If treason means providing aid and comfort to an enemy of the state and Snowden was leaking the information to the American people, does that make the American people an enemy of the state?

(8,155 posts)He would have to provide such information to a state or other enemy. Otherwise it's just theft of classified information. Which is not treason.
