20-Second Aerial Video Shows Just How Gigantic Last Night's Protest In Rio De Janeiro Was

http://www.businessinsider.com/20-second-aerial-video-shows-just-how-gigantic-last-nights-protest-in-rio-de-janeiro-was-2013-6

This newsclip has 20-seconds of video showing just how gigantic last night's protests in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil were.

300,000 apparently came out in the city alone. As you can see, the crowd just goes on forever.

Following last night's protests, the President of Brazil has called for an emergency cabinet session.

been proven to do; if people refuse to go home and shut up, they'll use tear gas or similar; mass arrests as done to Occupy Oakland and NYC. If that doesn't work, they'd send in the army/national guard and you've got Kent State all over again.

It's all they know how to do. It shall be their undoing.

so there was always an alert, lively crowd. Police wait both until the wee hours and numbers have dwindled. Protest must be sustainable.

If people are simply standing, they can not be kettled or pushed into each other. People can come and go, and take the place of someone leaving. If the corporate-cops attack, they will be clearly seen to be attacking a peaceful protest, no claims of "violent protesters".

Marching around is an outdated and bad tactic, as it creates confusion, and lets the provocateurs do vandalism and violence, "justifying" police attacks.

Standing occupation of public space is a great tactic.

The conservative fascists control the media and they do whatever they want with the facts. Our message is lost or buried.

We need a new underground media. LOL, look where I'm saying this.

citizen filibustered the latest anti-woman bills in the special session of the Texas legislature last night. They kept a committee meeting in session until the wee hours of this morning listening to speaker after speaker who mostly denounced the two bills. A near riot broke out when the chairman attempted to gavel closed the hearing. More can be found at Texas Democratic Women.

The government is going to have to deal with this, and I don't mean via violence. The gov't has to back down. And they need to disarm those GD police. There is too much at stake... they have much to do to get ready for the Olympics. I'm so proud of all of the protesters all over Brazil!
