very true. I love the stair metaphor...i don't know if i could handle it either...how many of us could? we are all so self absorbed and have such a sense of self importance...and yet at the same time we have so many feelings of low self worth...

human condition i suppose. the need to BE seen and known, and the fear of that as well....
