I am starting to see a positive outcome for spying on EVERYONE... seems to me that a whole bunch of corporate criminal activity should be easily uncovered. Tax evasion should be the top of the list.

The same posters who find it horrible now might find it not so bad were it used to prosecute the banksters.

And you have to read a lot more than just the Fourth Amendment to have much expertise on the subject of unreasonable searches and seizures and probable cause.

When it comes to the Fourth Amendment. And no interest in learning more about it before spouting off. You are cursing mad because you know that and are being called on it and projecting onto me your discomfort that you've gone overboard.

I'm sure you want to start right now defending the privacy rights of the "banksters." Make a post saying that even the banksters and corporatists have a right not to have their phone call metadata transferred. The government should not be spying on the banksters either. See what the result is.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Yes of course it applies to everyone. Even banksters.

But you have done a 180 here, first accusing "us" of hypocrisy because we would support warrant less spying on "banksters", and now of coddling them for not supporting it.

Sat Jun 15, 2013, 11:12 PM

That must include all the banksters' calls too. So what if eventually they get some evidence from the metadata that gives them probable cause to wiretap a bankster and from that get evidence to prosecute for stealing from the people? Are we going to have threads standing up for the bankster's privacy rights?

I just found this an interesting question in that I've seen on DU much condemnation of the banksters and demands they be jailed. So that involves getting evidence against them.

I personally brought down America's most dangerous terrorist organization, DIMWIT. They were speaking in "code", so things like "soda" meant" nuclear bomb. I alone figured out their code, and stopped them from getting their bombs. Then I busted them, by bringing an ice cream full of explosives and asking them if they wanted anything. They said yes, so I was able to arrest them. Th00e whole operation only cost $7 billion of taxpayer money.

EPIC WIN!
