Glenn Beck non-verbal communications. I do not watch Mr Beck, I have no idea if this is normal for him or an actual epiphany.

He appears sincere.

The first time I ever heard of this weasel was following a link from here. He seemed like a RW firebrand; yet the non-speaking bit he just played looked like it might be a change of heart.
Thats why I asked for the opinions of everyone else.
Live and Learn
(12,769 posts)3. People can change. I sincerely believe that but that was just silly. nt

Beck admits he doesnt give a flying crap about the political process.
Were an entertainment company.

Fox News host Glenn Becks media empire is the cover story of the newest issue of Forbes Magazine. In the story, Beck reveals that his media company Glenn Beck Inc. made $32 million in revenue in the period between March 2009 and March 2010. The host also explains that he sees himself much more as an entertainer than a political activist, saying that he doesnt give a flying crap about the political process:
With a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: I could give a flying crap about the political process. Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. Were an entertainment company, Beck says.
I dont necessarily believe that [what Beck says] is reflective of his own personal politics I dont even know if he has personal politics, Michael Harrison, the publisher of Talkers magazine tells Forbes. I see him as a performer. This isnt the first time Beck has suggested he isnt as radically conservative as he seems. In February he told USA Weekend that youd have to be an idiot to not notice the temperature change caused by global warming, and that he thinks mankind may play a signficant role in the phenomenon. Beck has previously described himself as a rodeo clown and conceded, If you take what I say as gospel, youre an idiot.

I used to watch him regularly years ago and he makes tens of millions of dollars a year. He used to weep for effect years ago. This is nothing new.
He lives like a king and will do anything he's told like Limbaugh. His folksy, 'I'm your friend' and sloppy reasoning and logic appeal to those desperately looking for meaning in their life and a sense of control over a changing world.
His spiel has resulted in death threats, prison sentences and real deaths. He's a demagogue like those in the Third Reich, quite hypnotizing.
I understand someone wanting to take a break from reality but he's done a tremendous amount of harm to political discourse in this country. He and Joe Barton have planned a cult like community with church schools, for people who fear and hate liberals, progressives and Obama. He says the use of the word 'empathy' will result in people being killed as the Nazis did the disabled.
He calls us murderers and Nazis, all the time.
YMMV.
