and I don't know what else..never received it but my wife bills it...she has never mentioned billing obesity counseling..I would guess hospitals and larger clinics has someone qualified and registered with CMS for obesity counseling if it is a covered service..ask your doctor..

and requires someone specialized in diabetic training be registered with CMS..some places do it, but they won't be going too far out of their way for $10..

2. Do you have a primary care doctor? They can refer you to a doctor that does that. Also call

the Medicare office. You can also go online at MyMedicare.gov they can refer you to one. There is alot of information on that website you can use. You can email them but it does takes a few days to get an answer back. But they have phone numbers you can call.

3. Problem is primary care doctors either don't know about it or don't have it

I do understand how it is suppose to work but have not found anyone who does it or knows about it

I have a doctor who referred me but to a bypass surgeon and not to what to someone who does counseling - I have been all over the medicare site which has a lot of information but not any database of physicians who offer this

The reason I posted this is hoping to find someone who had gotten to use it and could share their experience

6. Find the medicare physician billing supervisor at a local hospital or large clinic..

that person does the billing for whomever does the service and likely registers that person/people with CMS..There is a difference between those who bill for the hospital/facility and those who bill for physicians and other medical professionals..
