I thought he was pretty good. I think with a little coaching and polish he could be quite good.
I called him America's Susan Boyle because he looks rather unlikely until he opens his mouth and starts singing....

(6,286 posts)I was surprised to hear him refer to his "lifestyle" though. That's unusual phrasing, in my experience.
As if it were a choice? You can still be born that way and be a monk. An entertainer in a Bird Cage? Would that be a choice? A 'lifestyle'?
What if he bought a Harley-Davidson and a bunch of gear and hung out with bikers exclusively? Would it be a 'lifestyle'?
What if he were a ballet dancer? A foodie? A vegan? A druggie? A workout freak who only wears spandex and head bands.
Yep, the OP should be hidden for the 'bad word'. Because there are no choices made after the stamp of the genetic lottery hits you.

(6,286 posts)That he either consciously or subconsciously adopted their phrasing of his sexuality. Then again I don't assume all LGBT folks are monolithic in their thinking. All I have to go by is that my gay friends bristle at the word 'lifestyle', which is why I said "in my experience."
