Republicans' obsession with the law will be the party's undoing.
ts not an exaggeration to say Republicans have bet their future on the disaster they expect from Obamacare. The implementation of the law over the next year is going to reveal a lot of kinks, a lot of red tape, a lot of taxes, a lot of price increases, RNC spokesman Brad Dayspring told The New York Times last month. Its going to be an issue thats front and center [in 2014]. GOP intellectuals see Obamacare as the centerpiece of the partys strategy even well beyond then.

(9,275 posts)The Repugs are violently opposed to any means of achieving universal health care. Because they *know* that once we have it, the vast majority will really like it and wonder how we could have been so stupid for all those years we fought about it. And who will get the credit for this wonderful thing? The Democratic Party.
So those hateful assholes will spend countless $$ and energy denying Americans something they will like and appreciate (and call themselves True Patriots in the process) for one reason only--politics. Heartless bastards all.

(795 posts)Health care can make a person an indentured servant to corporations for life. Instead of paying off your debt to an individual, you're now paying it to businesses. Wages are garnished, higher interest is charged, your choices become limited in life.

(4,713 posts)in the states where the stupid gov. didn't accept the medicaid expansion or like my special ass state of SC where they are trying make it illegal for Obamacare to be implemented.
As a matter of fact, I'm sitting in the E.R. right now with my son & there are at least 3 families in here without insurance.
So sad, but I bet you I will be out making sure everyone is able to vote next year & what a bunch of douche bags running our state & country.

(3,539 posts)Were Obama care to work out real good it might inspire something like Medicare for all.
Would that ever hurt someone's bottom line.
