Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsCan the nutjobs BE more hateful? I saw the worst bumper sticker today.
It had the Obama symbol in the corner and it said:
ROBIN HOOD WAS A SON OF A BITCH TOO
Jeez, just how much hate do you have to have to put such an obnoxious bumper sticker on your vehicle? Does it help ease your fears knowing you are driving around with such offensive words on display for everyone to see?
I detest Dubya but I can't relate to putting a bumper sticker with profanity on my car. The worst I had during his presidency said
THEY IMPEACHED FOR MONICA WHY NOT KATRINA?
These Obama haters are just torn up with hate. I want to feel sorry for them because they're so deranged. But I just can't.
Sigh.

(149,785 posts)Some days I just wonder what happened?
What happened to ordinary decency?
Maybe it was just a mirage...
*sigh*

(61,711 posts)I'm sure most people realize that Robin Hood is part of English folklore, but why can't they understand that the sheriff, etc were allowing the people to starve? They seem just fine with starvation.
One of the senators in KS just last week opposed lowering the sales tax on food because that would only encourage people to buy more food.

(2,840 posts)Saw a 2012 bumper sticker recently on a car in Appleton that said, "Make November Black History Month" with a picture of Obama.
And another right around the time of the school shooting in Newtown that showed a pic of a Red/white/blue donkey and it said "GOT AMMO"
This, plus all the Rebel flags has me totally disgusted with this state.

I grew up there and I never saw one until I was a teenager, when I moved to Missouri.

Some on our side did the same thing:
?side=f
I'm sure someone will be along to tell me how it's not the same, and you can't draw a parallel between the two sides, and they're always worse, etc. etc.
But there are people who take things too far in every ideological camp.

(735 posts)I saw one that epitomized both. An obviously local print shop sticker. " English, if it was good enough for Jesus it's good enough for Mexicans " At the time I couldn't decide to be angry or laugh. I was so dumbstruck by the obvious stupidity!

(735 posts)I doubt it. I have seen and heard almost as bad. I had a customer who asked my boss if he was a guacamole, and then turned to me and proceeded to explain that women come here from spain and marry blacks and have ruined society. And what was the most ridiculous was that he didn't seem embarrassed to insult my boss, but when I told him that although you couldn't tell to look at me, but my grandmother was Spanish.THEN he looked embarrassed. I can't speak for every state in the south, but here it's unfortunately not uncommon.

(735 posts)I don't know which is worse? The fact that it proves once again how prejudice people were back in the day.Or that some modern day ignorant ass thought " Hey, what a great quote"

(53,661 posts)It was up there with all the GOP and teabagger signs until the election, when we the people didn't vote the way they wanted. All the signs disappeared but that one, and every set of curtains and blinds remain closed.
They're in mourning here in an increasingly ethnically diverse community that is prospering despite the gloom and doom that they preached. Were big Iraq war supporters during all the Bush years, too.
Wonder if the Sequester hit their happy asses yet. I know that's mean, but it's what they voted for in the House, and it's hurting much more than them. They'll hate until it eats their guts and destroys their last brain cell.
It's their choice, really it is.
