...back then, there was NOTHING Liberal about MSNBC besides Phil Donohue (at this point, KO had come and gone and had yet to come back again). Nachman hired him to get ratings - he did, but but Nachman and his overlords (GE) had a bigger investment to be concerned about.... defense contracts. To protect this investment, they agreed to push the War (see Ashleigh Banfield's speech ).
Needless to say, Nachman's long dead and there's new management at MSNBC. If you want to give the new management hell over what the old boss did, so be it. But, I think it's unfair...

(112,920 posts)A LOT of the bias begins in the production department, especially in the booking of guests. You didn't see any Knight-Ridder journalists interviewed after they reported that a dozen CIA analysts were warning that Bush-Cheney had been cooking the Iraq intel books, did you?

(45,319 posts)they are replacing they generally undo bad decisions made by the previous exec and also wipe the slate clean of those who were brought on board by that previous exec. If they do not do those things, and MSNBC did not, then they will be judged by that which they continued to be an extension of the previous regime. Fair? That word has scant application in the media world. 'Not fair' is a term that just does not fit with the huge salaries and golden parachutes involved. He is unfairly paid millions! Got it. Rich execs are being treated unfairly in the television business! The horror!
