She always amazed me how she greeted everyone, posted the milestones and still had time for political discussion. She made the site a home to a lot of DUers she worked her magic on.

Kephra taught me how to make a post in LBN, leading to a years long addiction to that forum. Roni made sure I felt at home here and showed me the Lounge. Heh, those were good days.

Yeah, they'd have to be a tie.

She was the first to welcome me within minutes of my first post. She had good radar for spotting newbies!

And the milestones... sometimes I forgot I was passing them until Roni posted it.

Where is she? I wish she'd just pop in and say hi.

I couldn't get over how friendly this place was. BTW, Canuck, you were not far behind her. We teamed up on a DUzy or two, as well.

When I joined DU1 way back, she was there saying Hi. I used to look forward to her commenting on my milestone posts, too. I don't post a lot so I often used to wonder how she managed it! She was a gem and made me feel so welcome.

and of course I couldn't believe it and very upset about it.

But someone else said that wasn't true.

Does anyone know for sure? I know she had not been well a few years ago the last time she posted.

...that, if she did pass, I would hope for an unprecedented tribute thread.

At the time she left, it was hush-hush. I never inquired further.

and had positive thoughts upon seeing the names again. Unfortunately I can't keep up with all the comings and goings. And passings.

But, I am constantly impressed, enlightened and invigorated by many, many of the people here. This is my first stop for news every morning, just after rawstory.com.
