The language portending the Drowning of the Federal Gov't in a Bathtub
The GOP agenda that media doesn't much talk about:
The R's want to undo the Federal Government and replace it with a Confederacy of Conservative States... a process now grossly out in the open in Republican led Texas, but including many Red State rejections of Federal policy and refusals to enforce it. All the movement seems to be to circumvent the inconvenience of the US Constitution, its governance, it's incorporated rights and federal law and regulatory agencies.
What they can't win nationally through fair elections they seek to transform into a patchwork of independent state governments, each state's laws organized to produce independent definitions of liberty so to guarantee life within their unique values, which secure the favor and guidance of their definition of a supreme being.
A very nice synopsis of their project was written in the last century as the Constitution of the Confederacy. I offer for your consideration of these catastrophic coming changes a paragraph from that document's Preamble. Having read it, you may then consider whether recent history and contemporary events make ever so much more sense in light of it:
"We, the people of the Confederate States, each state acting in its sovereign and independent character, in order to form a permanent federal government, establish justice, insure domestic tranquillity, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Confederate States of America."
