(22,095 posts)He calls himself Son of Hamas. His name is Masab Hassan Yousef.
He was raised to be a Hamas operative. He tells about seeing the murders of Hamas members suspected of being collaborstors and says that's when he began to doubt how he was raised.
He has since left Hamas, which means also having no family connections any more. He's now an outspoken critic of Hamas and supporter of Israel.

And such truth coming from the son of one of the Hamas Terrorist org.
Masab Hassan Yousef. doesn't think they're "freedom Fighters".
The false narrative is the root cause of the Middle East conflict, counter it with might, don't let it spread, it is more dangerous than a mass destruction weapon.

(32,261 posts)The Israeli hunt for Sinwar is playing out as multiple countries, including the U.S., Qatar and Egypt, engage in high-stakes talks aimed at finding an off-ramp for the conflict. Hamas has demanded that Israel permanently halt its offensive before any hostages are released, a demand Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected and said would endanger Israelis.
Jacob Nagel, who served as Netanyahu's national security adviser from 2016-2017, predicted that Sinwar will never give up all of his captives. Hell keep some of the hostages forever because this will be his insurance policy that no one will kill him, said Nagel, who is also a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
And based upon the assessment of how many of the 130+ hostages has now dropped to ~ 98 . . . Sinwar has fewer human beings to leverage for his own selfish ends.

(22,095 posts)is how Hamas is trying to gain a role in the establishment of a Palestinian state. That is why Biden has not endorsed current demands for immediate recognition of Palestine. Biden has rightly stated that there are further negotiations necessary before that recognition can be granted.
