New Biden Strategy Sounds Like a Winner!

According to MSNBC, the new Biden reelection strategy is short crisp speeches. They're going to tighten up his message because voters are consuming media in different formats and have a shorter attention span.

I've long thought and posted here that they need to do this, and I know many of you have as well. This also should be a great contrast with the bumbling, rambling cheato.

He said his plan was to repeat those five topics over and over. No matter what he was asked, he always transitioned to one of those topics.

There are a lot off issues important to progressives. Let's find the tive things that motivate voters, e.g., the economy, Roe v Wade, the border, protecting Social Security and Medicare, the environment, defeating Putin. Biden hits those five, and his surrogates handle the others ones.

I know some previous Trump supporters have flipped support away from Trump but don't know how many. And I don't know how many Biden supporters have flipped to Trump.

There is so much anti-Biden/pro-Trump propaganda circulating in the social media (X the only one I'm familiar with) that some people are believing and there is always the "it's the economy, stupid" argument, the border and the wars.

Biden can't fix inflation and has no control over the wars. But I really believe he should try to do something with the border to change the 'impression' people have with his actions today.

I don't know what he can do but he appears to not have done anything which will be a voter consideration.

... that is beyond hope or redemption. They are write-offs. But there are those who have been fed a steady diet of lies because there has been no media to counter the likes of Pox News and their ilk.
As much as I dislike billboards – I live in one of the four states that outlaw them – they can reach everyone, even those who would never listen to NPR, MSNBC, or any news outlet that isn't totally in thrall to Putin's propaganda. SO USE THEM! Short, brutal, and HONEST messaging can change minds. You have nothing to lose, and they're WAY cheaper than TV ads. Hammer it home.

I remember hearing or reading a comment that Biden was looking at some possible options.

One point the link mentioned was:

It's the second border-related move involving senior White House personnel in recent months, after years of the administration struggling to get a handle on historic levels of migration.

The negative news sources never mention the increased number of arrivals at the border.

Particularly their negative perceptions considering so many people are cynical about things they know little about or don't have any control over.

I usually default to labeling them unsophisticated or unengaged voters, but stupidity has a lot to do with it. Actual engagement doesn't require that much; 1) Assess your interests and 2) Choose which party's agenda most closely fits your interests.

But most people can't do that. Most people WANT just about everything in the Democratic agenda, but many of them are easily distracted. A lot of that distraction is "cultural." A shit ton of white voters are used to giving the White Lives Matter First party (republicans) the benefit of the doubt. They are pro-choice, but vote for White Lives Matter First candidates. They want the wealthy to be taxed at more fair rates, but they vote for White Lives Matter First candidates. What's worse is that they believe the myths that White Lives Matter First is better at handling the economy and foreign policy. Nothing could be further from the truth and yet no amount republican economic and national security failures can convince them of the truth.

So I totally agree that if people weren't stupid republicans would rarely get elected.
If you read this far, thanks

"news" sources, that crisp message get garbled into opposite speak. The right wing racist party and their media have an agenda, and really NOTHING any Democrat nominee says will come through correctly and clear no matter the brevity.

Bumper sticker politics. Same as it ever was.

Sadly.

That’s all he needs to talk about. He needs PA. Here in PA the economy is absolutely booming. Everyone who wants a job can get one, new home construction is strong, and everyone seems to have a new car. Entertainment places are packed. That should be his message. Over and over and over. He just has to say, look at the jobs created, lowest unemployment and the tax cuts he’s promising. Short and sweet.

Joe’s got this.
