Political parties in Poland kick off EU parliamentary elections campaign

The European elections campaign has officially commenced in Poland, with political leaders articulating their visions for the future of the country within the context of the European Union. Representatives from major parties took to the stage to outline their platforms and mobilize support ahead of the crucial elections for the European Parliament.

Already on Wednesday, Donald Tusk, the leader of the Civic Platform (PO) and the main ruling coalition party, delivered a poignant address during PO’s convention in Warsaw, stressing the historical significance of the upcoming elections despite their focus on the European Parliament.

Tusk cautioned against using salaries as a motivation for individuals seeking European Parliament seats, emphasizing the importance of hope rooted in solid foundations.

“In recent months, I’ve been warning myself: do not scare anyone, that’s not your role. People must have hope. However, it must be based on solid foundations,” Tusk asserted, underscoring the need for principled leadership in navigating the challenges ahead.
