Biggest irony in Kristi Noem's farmyard bloodbath tale

She described the goat that she offed as smelling "disgusting, musky, rancid" and said it loved to knock down those it saw as smaller and weaker.

Funny, but that description could also fit the POTUS candidate she is trying to impress.

smelling "disgusting, musky, rancid" and ... loved to knock down those it saw as smaller and weaker

is a textbook description of any unneutered billy goat.

Does she consider herself some sort of countryperson or farmer?

And yes, your irony is better and funnier and very accurate.

Any farmer would know that you castrate the males you don't want breeding. Uncastrated goats secrete an odor.

Billys can be very nice animals, just don't pet their heads unless you are wearing gloves.

The animals were quite well looked after and some had to be kept in large, secure paddocks, mainly for their own safety.

I could always tell when we were getting near the wild pygmy goat enclosure by smell alone. I'm talking about a quarter of a mile or more downwind.

There was one billy that used to hang out near the fence looking really cute and appealing in a heavily goaty way. But nobody'd go and stroke him because they'd have passed out then had to walk home because there's no way they have been allowed to share transport with anyone.

one of my best friend's father used the phrase, "Smells like noontime at the goat farm," to describe the malodorous. Always got a laugh from us.
