of Monroe County, NY refused to pull over when local police tried to stop her for going 55 mph on a 35mph hour road. She said she didn't want to pull over on the road and figured it would be "okay," to just drive home and handle things there. She called the police chief to tell his men she wasn't a danger to anyone's safety. 🙄
To the police chief's credit he did not tell his officers to let her off with just a warning. Also the officers said it wasn't her decision to make to not stop and that she just made a bad situation worse. That it was an arrestable offense, to refuse to pull over and that she of all people should know that.
She wasn't arrested (damn), but she was given a ticket and now she's acting like she thinks she should be commended for paying the ticket without protest, and saying even I am not above the law. Bullshit. Your average law abiding citizen does not go 20 miles over the speed limit and then call the police chief trying to claim they are not a danger. The only reason she paid the ticket and says she's not above the law is because the police have body camera footage of how dismissive and arrogant her attitude was toward the officers.
It's amazing how so many of the supposed, "law and order party" think they are so much more special than the rest of us, that we should be grateful that they even pay a fine they deserved, even it was only to further avoid embarrassing press. God they're hypocritical. Thank God she changed from being a Democrat to a Republican before her election. We don't need people like her in our ranks. She's a far better fit for them.
