I so love that Biden is being interviewed by Howard Stern rather than A. G. Sulzberger

It's a great interview btw.

Say what you want about Stern but he's not the one from the 1990s and his interviews are great. Check out interviews he did with Carol Burnett, Dolly Parton and Barbara Streisand.

That's all.

Happy Friday

I'm sure these will be great and, IMHO, if you want to hear him at his best...go listen to his interview of Conan O'Brian. There's a reason so many top people are willing to sit and talk with him.

Another great one. He's up there with Larry King and better than Barbara Walters.

Have loved him since I was a teenager in the 90s (although looking back I can see that he used to be rather sexist).

Stump’s 3-hour inaction on 1/6/21 was “almost criminal”. That’s unsettling to me.

Times releases this statement saying Joe must sit down with a major newspaper (them) to prove he's fit to be president. So he sits down with Stern.

A few comments on twitter include:

Andrea Mitchell has Peter Baker and Ashley Parker on, and it’s KILLING all three of them that Biden gave an interview to Howard Stern and not them!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

a US President preferring to speak with Howard Stern instead of a NY Times interviewer says a good deal about the current state/stature of mainstream media.
the "live" interview is much preferable to the written interview which would be larded with the reporter's snarky comments on Biden's age, necktie, stammer, etc. also in written interviews there is much opportunity for distortion in paraphrase. (though live interviews when recorded can be edited, of course.) —Joyce Carol Oates

Biden doing a live interview with Howard Stern the day after the New York Times put out a bizarre screed attempting to justify its stream of negative stories about Biden because he won’t do an interview with them is the America I want to live in.
