In the nearly three-minute-long video, Goldberg-Polin, who is seen missing one of his hands, identifies himself and asks the Israeli government to return them home.
The video is not dated, but Goldberg-Polin says he has been held captive for nearly 200 days, indicating it was filmed recently.
Goldberg-Polin was abducted from the Supernova rave near Reim on the morning of October 7.
The Times of Israel, for reasons known only to them, chose to crop the still photo from the video thus editing out a clear view of his traumatically amputated lower arm. The world needs to see what he has suffered and endured after terrorist threw hand grenades at people trying to escape the attack on October 7th.
on edit: The Goldberg-Polin family has given permission for the publication of the hostage video. You can now watch it on the website for Times of Israel.

I found this when I Searched on DU for something about Hamas on October 7 and it was on the 3rd page. I was surprised it didn't have more replies and Recs.. I was looking for something to post about Hamas here..
I cross posted it.. with a link to your thread..

(18,773 posts)at one point he stumbles over the script. It is small and either his torturers missed it or the staged filming had been going on so long they didn't care to reshoot.
It is ironic the Hamas does more to remind people of hostages than the people protesting for ceasefire now

Hamas has previously issued similar videos of hostages it is holding, in what Israel says is deplorable psychological warfare.

(51,705 posts)He obviously still needs treatment for the jagged end of his arm. Simply horrific. But a miracle he is alive.
