My favorite player in the catch and kill game is the doorman

Last edited Tue Apr 23, 2024, 06:09 PM - Edit history (1)

Think about it. This guy says he knows TFG fathered a child illegitimately. Supposedly it is investigated and the child does not bear physical resemblance to TFG. However even TFG knows his reputation as a serial adulterer/womanizer/rapist is so clear and having an impact on his campaign that anything else could lose the election. Who knows. Maybe TFG believes the allegation might be true.

In any event, the doorman gets a $30,000 payout. Basically conned the Don. Heck, those who have submitted legitimate bills can’t get paid, but that doorman!

Sorry: apparently the doorman was paid in 2015, not right before the election. Even weirder.

Seems highly likely that Trump would have some illegitimate children.

that they paid people not to spread falsehoods that could damage Trump's reputation.

Not that it's legally relevant--legally, as Rachel and the other MSNBC panelists pointed out last night, it doesn't matter whether Stormy Daniels is telling the truth about what happened between the two of them. But if his story is demonstrably false, it might muddy the waters in at least one juror's mind.

The point is why pay a guy for a false story? This could have easily been disproven.

Also, please see my update. Apparently this payout occurred in 2015. They are trying to establish a pattern of behavior.

I am not entirely clear on one point here. Pecker may have paid this on his own

The Enquirer investigated the claim, determined it was false, paid the doorman $30k and had him sign a contract to keep quiet till after the election, or incur a massive penalty. That is the issue. This was a conspiracy to get TFG elected. Period.

Trump and his campaign had control of a major media outlet during the 2016 campaign. If it had come out that Hillary had control of say the Washington Post and vetoed any negative stories about herself and approved only negative stories about Trump people would be screaming “rigged election” right now.

So does the maid, the nanny, the cooks and on and on. Rich people have thought forever that the help were stupid. Or at least hoped so. Turns out, they know far more than is comfortable for the rich. Thus, be nice to those who serve since they may very well know your darkest secrets.

"pas devant les domestiques." Or at least did so in novels Even in the novels, it was usually already too late. And of course some things didn't need to be spoken. Letters, for instance. This goes back to the 19th century, but see "The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton" - both the story and the TV version with (I think) Jeremy Brett. That went even a little deeper than the origina, with devastating efffect. IRC Milverton was played by Robert Hardy, who played Siegfried Farnon the first time All Creatures came around. Yes, I'm old.

to the rabid Xtian patriarchs who are the backbone of his support.

He'd just be a stud.

Give it up, people, the far right doesn't think like we do. The abuse of women and abandonment of children doesn't matter a bit to them.
