I don't know the full description of the aid being given to Israel, but a lot of it will be going to rebuilding their defensive systems, humanitarian aid, and to support our own military activities in the region.
I can accept that, but I don't know what offensive weaponry is included. I would prefer that any offensive weapons assistance be conditional on a permanent ceasefire, and eventual peace agreement.

Again, a compromise to help Ukraine was of such high importance and immediate need that it had to be done.
Without our help, Ukraine probably wouldn't have lasted until the end of the year.
Imagine what Putin would do if he took control of all of Ukraine. How many 10's of thousands of patriotic Ukrainians would be killed? Anyone who opposed him would be killed or shipped off to a gulag, and the nation would be repopulated with Russians.
