Did you read the transcript? Pecker paying 15x normal for a story to bury it. Weisselberg wrote down the WHOLE conspiracy in his ledger. prosecutors have that. AND Trump is on tape saying “let’s just pay cash”.

as income (and to pay taxes) rather than as reimbursement expense. He wrote it all down on the bank statement of the account that the funds to Stormy Daniels was paid from. That statement was on the business account that Cohen used for that transaction, so it was in Cohen's possession, after Weissenberg confirmed the payment was made from the account.

I find trump not wanting to be on the cover of the National Inquirer akin to a Super Bowl Winning QB not wanting to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. What the prosecution brought up is that the release of the Access Hollywood story set off a wave of GOP types withdrawing their support of him and that the party seriously considered a way to replace him as their candidate.
