Stormy Daniels’ Ex Lawyer Michael Avenatti Wants to Testify for Trump: Report

Stormy Daniels’ disgraced former attorney Michael Avenatti has reportedly said he is willing to testify against her in the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump. “The defense has contacted me,” Avenatti reportedly told the New York Post from a Los Angeles prison where he is serving a 19-year sentence for extortion, tax evasion, fraud, embezzlement and other federal crimes. “I’d be more than happy to testify, I don’t know that I will be called to testify, but I have been in touch with Trump’s defense for the better part of year.” The move is a huge about-face for the lawyer who was one of Trump’s biggest critics. “There’s no question [the trial] is politically motivated because they’re concerned that he may be reelected,” Avenatti said. “If the defendant was anyone other than Donald Trump, this case would not have been brought at this time, and for the government to attempt to bring this case and convict him in an effort to prevent tens of millions of people from voting for him, I think it’s just flat out wrong, and atrocious.” Avenatti said he was “really bothered” by the fact Trump has been “targeted” in numerous legal cases. “Four cases is just over the top and I think there’s a significant chance that this is going to all backfire and is going to propel him to the White House,” he said.

This should serve as an example of why just putting Trump in prison isn't likely to shut him up. As long as someone is willing to provide an audience, people like Avenatti and Trump will never really go away.

Keeping him out of office is more important than putting him in prison.

After he was so happy he shit himself,... then Habba cheerfully cleaned up that mess.

because he committed a crime and went to prison? Here's Avenatti, who's still in prison and will be for a long time, convicted of multiple crimes: extortion, tax evasion, fraud, embezzlement, and stealing from his clients, one of whom is Stormy Daniels. I guess he's hoping for a pardon.

Cohen is being touted as Brag's star witness because he was Trump's lawyer and knows where the bodies are buried.

Why wouldn't they counter with Avenatti who was Daniel's lawyer?

Made for cable testimony!

Trump has long hated him, though so I'd bet his paranoia will veto any consideration of having Avenatti appear. After all, Avenatti as been doing quite a few 180s lately. What's the say he won't do so again against Trump?

Avenatti may have the deluded view that if Trump is elected he'd be pardoned. No friggin way...

I don't know all the dirty details, and can't be arsed to dig around much, but I did find this:

"In March 2018, Avenatti filed a lawsuit on behalf of adult film actress Stormy Daniels seeking to invalidate a 2016 non-disclosure agreement regarding an alleged affair with Donald Trump in 2006, claiming that Daniels had been paid off by Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen not to disclose information covered by the NDA."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Avenatti

Recently people were saying that if only Stormy had come clean about the "affair" before the election, we wouldn't be here now, *rump wouldn't have been elected, because, women are ultimately responsible for bad male behavior, but apparently people had amnesia about the NDA that Stormy was legally bound by, and that Avenatti brought to court on her behalf.

So, maybe, we wouldn't be here, holding the asshole accountable, if Michael Avenatti hadn't represented Stormy, exposed David Pecker and his "catch and kill," crap, etc., etc. Maybe the asshole would be shining his crown, about to announce his Theocratic Monarchy.

Trump and Avenatti supporters think that their man is a fighter and wants to win.

Both have been involved in bankruptcies.

Both have multiple marriages.

Both think there are conspiracies out to take them down.

Both appear to prefer women much younger then themselves.

Both have cheated on their spouses.

Both have been alleged to have mistreated women.

Both love to tweet.

Neither has the qualifications to be president.

Both have stiffed people that were owed money by them.

Both enjoy the lavish lifestyle.

I prefer to have people like Hillary, Kerry, Obama, Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Kamala Harris and a whole host of others fighting for us then a Trump wanna-be."

….lengthy, in depth expose of Avenatti’s sordid career in California. They published that when he first rose to national prominence by taking up Stormy’s case.

Eventually he did to Stormy what he’s done to all his clients — effed her over and walked away with the cash. He is a self-serving schmuck to the core.

Testify to what, Michael? That you committed fraud, embezzled money from your clients and was convicted of those things plus tax evasion? Will you have to borrow a suit for court? Or will you wear your state-mandated orange scrubs with rubber slides?

He played Stormy like a fiddle and exploited the situation for publicity. Trump had her dead to rights with that NDA but Avanatti was just going to stir those beans as much as possible even if his client went under the bus from it.
