There may be one. A stealth hidden supporter of Trump for maybe 4 years. He/she has heard a lot of stuff on the internets telling him/her that Trump is the best thing to happen to us since Billionaire tax cuts.
He/she listens to the evidence. Then the jurors get to discuss the verdict. Doubt sincerely an ill informed person will stick their neck out to make it a hung jury.

(24,571 posts)I'd like to know what you mean. I give the Party about $3K/year and I don't want to capitalize on it...how about you?

(94,719 posts)It's right in the headline. Prosecutors know how to pick fair juries.

(24,571 posts)Prosecutor and Defense cannot know what potential juror's or witnesses really think. Neither has direct mind access...at least at this point in my life.
11-1, think about how that plays out.

(115,831 posts)One thing both sides will have done is check out prospective jurors' social media, and it's more than likely that the views of a hard-core Trumper will be reflected in their social media posts (which they probably wouldn't have deleted, those being precious to them) and other background.

(24,571 posts)HUNG JURY is a social nightmare. I'm expecting the 2 lawyers in the jury will help explain the legal realities to the rest of the jurors.

I'm playing D&D in an online group and we're in combat, so I have time between turns and I'm not as focused as I could be, so I stated it in a not-so-clear way!

This is a highlight from the Chris Hayes show where I believe discussion on the jury composition takes place at approx. the 5:20 mark.

(261 posts)helps lessen the chance of a stealth Trumpy. My guess is he was feeling pretty good about the lot and thus wrapped things up.
And none of the juror profiles particularly concern me. No cops, no truckers, no cabbies, no blue-collars that I could tell...not that I expect any of those types.
Once the decision goes to the jury, it'll be a fast decision.
