It seems like something the FBI would want to crack down on? Trace the calls and emails and find the culprits that would make such threats?
I felt sorry for the Colorado Secretary of State, Griswold, who was on Nicolle Wallace's show yesterday. She read one of the threats that the Secretary had received. The Secretary said she had received even worse messages. No one, especially elected officials, should have to live under such threats. It is criminal.
I'm sure the Department of Justice, including the FBI, are on top of this.

(21,405 posts)from Colorado, Jena Griswold yesterday on MSNBC?
I think it was Nicolle Wallace who read some of the threats sent to her, they were vile, yet the SOS said those weren't the worst ones.
Pretty sure that the SOS made the statement that only 20 people have been arrested for making threats to election officials under Garland's DOJ. The SOS said that 38% of her election officials have quit because of being threatened.
I remember back when we were told that as soon as Kristen Clarke was confirmed there would be a crackdown on threats to public officials, that appears to be a lie.

(115,852 posts)The FBI gets involved if there's evidence that a crime has an interstate component, if it's a violation of federal law, or if local police ask them for assistance. Do we know whether any of these circumstances apply to these incidents? Or are they being handled by state law enforcement?

(21,405 posts)Magats are blaming Griswold for the lawsuit that tried to keep Trump off the ballot. Griswold didn't even have anything to do with the lawsuit. All of a sudden election officials are getting death threats, I wonder why? Maybe someone is coordinating these threats, just like someone coordinated the fake electors and yet when the Michigan AG sent a criminal referral to DOJ she waited 1 year and then prosecuted them herself.

(10,074 posts)I remember reading ages ago that the search of MAL was delayed because some in the FBI were against the search or doing anything to retrieve the documents Trump stole. In other words, just ignore it and let him do whatever he wants.

(21,405 posts)are doing a piss poor job of addressing threats to public officials, SOS Jena Griswold confirmed that yesterday. Colorado election officials have quit in droves because of death threats to them.
I'm sure this isn't limited to Colorado.
