Mark Robinson Warned Rape and Incest Victims "Muddy the Waters" Against Abortion Ban

During a 2020 Zoom interview with North Carolina GOP Chair Michael Whatley, GOP Gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson said he wanted to "purge" abortion and warned of rape and incest victims being used to "muddy the waters" against his goal. Whatley is now the national GOP chair with Lara Trump serving as co-chair.

Robinson stated he is very passionate about purging abortion:

"...The one thing that I'm most passionate about, it's a social issue that I'm most passionate about is bringing an end to ...abortion. I say it like this all the time. I truly believe we need to purge abortion from our shores for the cause of life the same way we purged slavery for the cause of liberty, and that's one of the things that I'm most passionate about."

Robinson has also compared abortion to slavery, which is something he also did while campaigning for Herschel Walker.
