The American electorate is being asked to pretend everything is normal despite the evidence before their own eyes.

Specifically, that we still have a functional and legitimate two-party system which represents the more or less full spectrum of
"average" American voters. It could be reasonably considered that this was never the case or that the current state of dissolution is a relatively recent construct. The voters seem to have essentially the same composition, expressing the same interests and diversity as ever but the luminescent elephant (accidental pun) in the room is that one of the parties is consciously mandating its followers take on a perverse mantle of personality worship never before seen in American Politics. It may be assumed this sort of manic, enforced and inorganic exclusivity will put off many traditional Republicans, thus benefiting the Democrats this fall.

The conclusions are:
>Old guard Republicans will desert their Grand Old Party in statistically significant numbers and turn toward Democratic candidates. It is logical that this will so play. Like sociological osmosis in a pressurized crucible.
>Democrats should see record support and turnout.
>This will be an event more similar to our historic Civil War than a quadrennial election.
>The horse race is over, the legislature ours for the taking.
>The USSC is within reach, as well, because impeachment will be thick as smoke in the air (thanks to Trump's "retribution" ranting).
>The season of boundless change bears down upon us with the conclusive mutability of an avalanche.

there will be plenty of rat-fucking going on. Magat election officials will refuse to certify votes in Democratic districts.

Today is Wednesday so Marc Elias should be on Deadline White House, tune in, he will scare the shit out of you.

President Biden wins a fair election in a landslide, signs are pointing that way, a Democrat won a seat in Alabama yesterday in a district that Trump won.

Trump is already saying the election will be rigged if he loses, which was predictable. The man can not, will not, accept losing any debate, argument or contest.

Democrat Marilyn Lands won an upset victory in Alabama on Tuesday when she defeated Republican and Madison City Council member Teddy Powell in a special election for the Alabama state House that represents a 33-point swing for Democrats.

Lands won the election with 63 percent of the vote to Powell's 37 percent with all precincts reporting in the race for House District 10. The Democrat made abortion rights and access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) major themes of her campaign.

This is Alabama....ALABAMA! Yes, the district in which Lands won has been shifting more blue but it is nowhere near full blue. This was a massive win for Dems in the state. Our state Democratic Party apparatus has been on life support. This may help in reviving it somewhat.

But more importantly for the nation, it signals that the presidential race in swing states may very well swing decisively to Biden. If the Dems run a 50 state strategy you may even see shifts elsewhere. The GOP has seriously underestimated the anger of women and men who support women's access to reproductive health care.

One of Biden's first actions in his second term will be to, if Trump is still walking around in the public, terminate Garland's stint as AG. Then, he'll nominate and see approval of him to serve on the supreme court. Yeah, I'm saying one of those grifting SOB's will resign this summer and I've noticed Mitch doesn't run the Senate anymore.

I still think expansion of the SC is warranted. With the unethical behavior of Thomas and the naked partisanship of the conservatives, a case can be made.
