Georgia Legislators Pursue Conservative Education Reforms.. sex education to be 'opt-in" for parents

An additional aspect of the bill could result in a significant overhaul of sex education in Georgia, making it an “opt-in” subject for parents and completely eliminating it for students under sixth grade. Discussions around child abuse, assault prevention, and menstruation are permissible, although the constraints on discussing human reproduction raise questions about educational clarity.

Senator McLaurin—an opponent of the bill—argues that the opt-in provision for sex education will cause many parents to inadvertently exclude their children from critical education on the subject.

How stupid do you have to be? Let's prevent teens from protecting themselves sexuality . Great plan.
