"SNIP..........
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) suggested President Joe Biden's infrastructure law was to blame after a ship struck a Baltimore bridge, causing it to collapse.
Mace was asked about the bridge collapse during a Tuesday interview on Newsmax.

as she pivots to an audience of one (Trump) to prove to him what a great liar she will be if he picks her as VP

(16,786 posts)Just like back when before I met my husband, he and his brothers were camping up at Lake Barryessa, when on the way out, my husband hit a tree with the car he was driving.
"Why did you hit the tree?" I asked. He answered, "It was in the way!"

(61,622 posts)Isn't MD near Delaware? Did he choose the site for the bridge? People are asking!

(14,532 posts)She is worried about.
It's those nasty regulations that will cut into the profit of the corporation building a new bridge.

(92,209 posts)confronting the MAGA troll mace. She ran all over him with lies and misinformation, and when Maher asked Khanna if he would refute anything Mace said, and his response was I am just being polite. It was pathetic
We must have aggressive strong pushback on MAGAs like Mace
Think. Again.
(8,164 posts)In fact, I hope he re-proposes his FULL infrastructure bill and points out how much we need the parts that the rightwingers rejected.

(21,573 posts)Vs other things like public transportation. Apparently she doesnt understand that infrastructure is more than just roads and bridges.
She also doesnt understand that the bridge collapse was triggered by an unplanned collision. It didnt collapse because it was old.

(3,817 posts)Those republicans TOLD us dems that bridges SHOULD be strong enough to withstand a ship strike. They told us over and over again and even brought bills to the floor to armor-plate our bridges against this eventuality! And we ignored them!
Truly, they are the party of progress, foresight and iron-clad bridges!!!

(115,719 posts)and somehow that's Biden't fault? I guess as a junior senator from Delaware in 1977 he should have made sure that bridge in Maryland could have withstood the impact of a giant cargo ship of a size that didn't exist in 1977. Or was it his fault that the bridge wasn't magically replaced the instant the infrastructure bill was passed?
