"SNIP..........

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) suggested President Joe Biden's infrastructure law was to blame after a ship struck a Baltimore bridge, causing it to collapse.

Mace was asked about the bridge collapse during a Tuesday interview on Newsmax.

Just like back when before I met my husband, he and his brothers were camping up at Lake Barryessa, when on the way out, my husband hit a tree with the car he was driving.

"Why did you hit the tree?" I asked. He answered, "It was in the way!"

Vs other things like public transportation. Apparently she doesn’t understand that infrastructure is more than just roads and bridges.

She also doesn’t understand that the bridge collapse was triggered by an unplanned collision. It didn’t collapse because it was old.

Those republicans TOLD us dems that bridges SHOULD be strong enough to withstand a ship strike. They told us over and over again and even brought bills to the floor to armor-plate our bridges against this eventuality! And we ignored them!
Truly, they are the party of progress, foresight and iron-clad bridges!!!

and somehow that's Biden't fault? I guess as a junior senator from Delaware in 1977 he should have made sure that bridge in Maryland could have withstood the impact of a giant cargo ship of a size that didn't exist in 1977. Or was it his fault that the bridge wasn't magically replaced the instant the infrastructure bill was passed?
