starting to seize trump* properties. The court of appeals meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He thinks she should let the appeal play out.
I disagree. This just seems to be his modus operandi. Delay, delay, delay. First, could he have filed the appeal earlier? And tfg has been given FAR TOO MUCH latitude, all of his life, when it comes to accountability of any sort.

(2,319 posts)That way TFG cannot sell them but the state is not on the hook for running them until they sell.
But seize the cash... especially the cash hidden in those hundreds of LLC that the overseer has found.

(2,319 posts)According to a legal analyst and a business analyst I heard on MSNBC and either CNN or NPR, because so many of these properties have huge mortgages, it is likely better to force TFG to pay on the debts and wait to sell until the appeal is lost. This accomplished two things
1) The AG's office is not trying to run golf clubs, hotels, etc. rather than doing their regular jobs. (easier on them)
2) The lien means that TFG has to pay the bills and cannot sell the assets. So the AG;'s office is protected financially from bad deals. With the appointed overseer having complete control now, it will mean that whatever revenue comes in pays bills and gives TFG and the two idiot sons an allowance. The rest of the money will be used to pay the debts and eventually the settlements

(7,483 posts)James should initiate all necesary processes to collect the judgment as provided for in the law if TSF cannot meet the cash or bond requirements.
No one else would get special treatment. We either have "equal justice under the law" or not.

(7,483 posts)We KNOW how this will play out.... Trump will delay, and delay, and delay, and delay. And then he'll lose. It'll take a while to sell real property assets, so if the judgment is trimmed, he can have some stupid hunk of gold-painted property back.
Start the process of taking his shit NOW, presuming he doesn;t come up with a way to delay that (which I think he will). It's what he does.

(16,151 posts)Because if he needs to post a bond to appeal and he hasn't done that, there's no appeal and thus no reason to wait.
He needs to stop being given special treatment.

(3,636 posts)...until the appeal is completed. The bond is to assure that the judgement will be paid if the appeal fails.

Fuck that. Time for that man to FINALLY face some consequences. He MUST play by the same rules as everyone else.
